Rauw Alejandro has become one of the biggest names in Reggaeton in 2020. His singles
Fantasias and Tattoo have been some of the most successful hits of the year, and Remix
versions have been released for both of them along with other huge stars of the genre, such as
Farruko or Camilo. His first album drops tomorrow and the whole world is excited for it, let’s
see why it is so promising!
Rauw started his music career back in 2014, when he started uploading his compositions to
Soundcloud, waiting and hoping for someone to hear them. Six years later, here he is, about
to debut his first album along with Sony music, which, as Rauw says, will be “porn for your
Three days ago, the artist himself revealed on an Instagram post the cover and the song list of
his first album, under the name “Afrodrsíaco”.
The latin singer will bless the world with 16 songs, 5 of which we already know as they have
already been released: Algo Mágico, Enchule, Reloj (ft. Anuel AA), Elegí (Remix) (ft. Dalex,
Anuel AA, Sech, Farruko, Justin Quiles and Lenny) and Tattoo (Remix) (ft. Camilo). At this
point we are pretty sure you must have already listened to them as they have reached the top
of all latin charts, so we will speed up to the other 11 songs that we are about to know in a
Actually, one of those 11 unknown songs just saw the light a few hours ago, De Cora, a
collaboration with J Balvin that they already released to give us an early taste of the album
before it drops. They uploaded its music video to Youtube (the song is not still available on
any platform) and it has already gotten over 700k views. The aesthetics of the video are very
different from the aesthetics the album cover conveys, but the song is great and it certainly
has Balvin’s essence. Anything these two make together will be a hit!
Among the other 10 songs of the album we see many other collaborations too. Although they
are all with male artists, we must point out that Spanish singer Rosalía is also going to be part
of “Afrodisíaco”, as she is on the choir for two songs.
We will only see Raw singing by himself in 4 of these new songs, as other big names like
Wisin y yandel, Myke Towers, Arcangel or Zion y Lennox will be part too of the other 6.
We also see “explicit” in most of the songs, which is the usual in the genre, and that maybe
ironically just increases our excitement about the release. The singer previously said in past
interviews that her targets are women, as they are also his main inspiration, and that he
always intends to create his songs more towards the romantic side. We’ll see if these songs
are romantic or not…just in a few hours!
